French artist Valérie Goutard (1967 - 2016) was born in France. She lived in many places including South America, Africa, and Europe, and later settled in Asia. In 2004, she established a studio in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2004, she began to experiment with bronze creation and exhibited her works in Bangkok. Since then, her works have been exhibited in galleries in many Asian cities such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, and Taipei, as well as in Europe. Her work City Life brought her growing fame at the Shanghai Art Fair in 2010. After Val's passing, the molds in her studio were properly preserved, and the apprentices she had trained continued to produce her sculptural works. Most of her works were made according to classic version plans, with numbered editions and artist - proof editions. She also created series works and unique single - piece works.
